The skiing is first class with 70% of the domain above 2000m, 350 snow cannons and predominantly north facing slopes.Some of the runs are as long as 1000 vertical metres.
The village of Valloire has a population of 1200 people and is located at the bottom of the Galibier pass and is the natural frontier between the Northern and Southern Alps. This authentic Savoyard village offers numerous family leisure and sports activities all year round. For skiing in the winter months, the resort boasts a magnificent 150km slope range, which is situated at an altitude of up to 2600m high, guaranteeing excellent ski conditions from the beginning of December through to the end of April. Each year there is a snow and ice sculpture contest and sculptors from all over the word attend for 3 days and nights. The ski station offers:
