Alsace could be top for French property investment
20/04/2007With the June 10th opening of the much anticipated new TGV route drawing ever nearer, people in Alsace are wondering whether their area could be the next hotspot for French property investment.
The new link from Paris to Strasbourg will cut journey times to the region by almost half to just two hours and 20 minutes and, combined with a new Eurostar terminal at London St Pancras, is expected to make the whole region more attractive for British tourists and investors alike.

People snapping up property in France as new rail link nears
04/04/2007Regeneration across a host of new rail links has seen a rush of people looking to buy property in France as many cities prepare to profit from extensions to the high-speed TGV network.
The north-eastern city of Strasbourg has proved a prime beneficiary from the new rail links, following the instigation of an ?80 million revamp of the city´s train station and huge real estate development along a new line that will, when operational from this summer, almost halve the journey time to Paris.

French property market crash 'unlikely'
30/03/2007Properties for sale in France will continue to be sold in a "dynamic" housing market regardless of the recent decrease in the number of construction projects being built.
Financial analysts from the consultancy firm Global Insight have suggested that despite a 15.1 per cent fall in the number of new housing projects since February last year the French property market will remain buoyant in 2007.
