Description
Classic Holiday purchase, bright, spacious seaside apartments only a stones throw from the beach on the Atantic Coast and in the fabulous areas of Biarritz and Jean de Luz.

The Region

Aquitaine, in the south-west, is the largest région of France. It has a long, straight west coast, which stretches 200km from the mouth of the Gironde estuary down to Spanish border. The Pyrenees mountain range steadily begins to rise in the Pyrénées Atlantiques, the southern most area of Aquitaine. The mountain foothills are lush and green and offer amazing scenery. One interesting fact to note is the region is home to many successful sports teams. Rugby Union is very popular and on the Aquitaine coast many major Surfing championships regularly take place. The popular town of Biarritz is also located in this region.

Agriculture has long been important to the economy and the region grows half of Frances kiwi fruit, almost half its strawberries, and most of its prunes. The grape is by far the biggest product of the region and Forestry is prominent in the north of the region, including Europes largest pine forest. Wine-making and distilling is hugely important to the area both culturally and as an industry.

The Location

Capbreton is situated on the southern coast of the Landes on the Atlantic Coast, just 35 minutes from Biarritz and St Jean de Luz, and 45 minutes from the Spanish boarder. You will find 15km of beautiful sandy beaches and the tranquil port of Capbreton are only a stone’s throw from the residence, and the town center is a short bike ride away. This area offers an idyllic seaside retreat in a well known, popular, high class tourist destination.

Nowadays the large sheltered port of Capbreton has become the only Marina on the Landes coast and the largest on the total length of the Cote d Argent, with 960 berths for boats from 2m to 23m of which 60 are reserved for visitors to the area. Capbretons close proximity to the Spanish border means you can take in the Spanish culture with a trip to the bull fighting or some traditional spanish cusine.

The central beach in Capbreton has many bars and hotels along the sea-front, the rest of the beach gradually becomes more private with vast sand dunes, where the Landes pine forest merges gently with the Atlantic Ocean. Within the local area you will find plenty of places to visit such as Hossegor, Biarritz and the Basque Country and for evening entertainment, Restaurants and Bars there is plenty of choice.

The Architecture here is a mixture of old and new and all very similar to the Basque style with exposed timbers on the facades, but with the slight Landais difference in the roof lines. Access to the area is made easy; by air you can get reasonable flights to Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne International airport or get the train to Labenne station which is 5 minutes from Capbreton or alternatively by car take the A64 motorway.

The Development

This development consists of 17 apartments, ranging from studios to 2 beds with underground parking available. These bright, spacious properties have been carefully designed to ensure privacy, and to blend in with the natural surroundings. This is a peaceful, secure residence only a stones throw away from the wonderful sandy beaches of the area, the picturesque port of Capbreton and a short walk to the local shops and restaurants. The properties offer an idyllic holiday home in an extremely sort after region in close proximity to the famous towns of Biarritz.
